How do you make a Sitemap that will work with Google?

I have a HTML website and have been verified as the owner by Google webmaster tools, but Google has not found many fo my webpages (its been a month now) and I think a Sitemap may help.

Is there a free program that I can download or something like that that can create a Sitemap that will work with Google?

I would be grateful if you could provide link’s

Along with other formats, Google uses the standard XML format for their sitemaps.

Here is a site that will crawl your site and create that XML file for you for free:
http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

If you want, you can look at the XML file in a text editor and tweak it to add/remove files that didn’t make it in the crawl. But the file should work for Google Webmaster Tools. Upload it to your server and update it in Webmaster Tools.

Are the Aardman Animation "Crunchie" ads on the web?

Where can I view the awesome award-winning "Crunchie" claymation ad by Aardman Animation, to the tune of "I’m So Excited" by the Pointer Sisters ?
(the ones with the morphing clay animals, similar to the video of "Sledgehammer". I think the titles are Crunchie ‘Balloon’ and ‘Fairground’ from around 1991.)

They’re not at aardman.com nor on YouTube, nor on Cadbury’s : http://www.cadbury.co.uk/en/ctb2003/product_info/crunchie.htm

If they’re not on the web, I suggest we all mail info@aardman.com or webmaster@aardman.com to request it… it might work.
These ads are sheer genius and are unknown outside Europe - must be because it’s before YouTube and TiVo.
They are bursting with ingenuity - very similar to the "Sledgehammer" video only more jokey.

I never saw that Crunchie Advertising before but here’s the Aardman Animation’s Official Commercials Awards site.

How long does a site map that has been uploaded to Google take to start working?

I uploaded the XML sitemap to google a few days ago but Webmaster tools says that Google hasn’t downloaded any pages yet. Is this normal?

It can take them a week or longer to look at a site map! if your worried that they are not indexing any of your pages then type site:yourdomain.com(use correct domain Extension .com is just an example) into google if it returns no results then it is possible that your site has been removed from there indexes altogether for violations or alleged violations of there terms. to get a site reindexed you can submit a resubmission form from Google WebmWebmaster Tools.
If your site is brand new then give google a few days although they normally find sites quite quickly. If there are no links pointing to your home page then you may want to try and get some there are a number of free directories that require no reciprocal link that you can submit to (make sure they dont use the no follow attribute!)
